Here at ER Tints we like to keep things simple so we offer are 3 tint shades 5% and 20% for rear windows 85% for the fronts, giving you the flexibility to choose the perfect balance between style and privacy. Window Tint Laws

  • There are no laws on windows behind the b-pillar – rear driver and passenger windows and boot glass – they can be tinted as dark as you like.
  • The Front Driver and Passenger side window must have at least 70% VLT – visible light transmission.
  • Front Windscreens must have 75% VLT. It is illegal to fit any tint – other then chameleon – to the front windscreen.

ER Tints will NOT fit tints that do not confirm to the following laws, unless the vehicle is for off-road use.

Front Side Windows

UK law states front side windows must emit at least 70% light. Most glass comes from the factory with a slight tint – around 80% – It is an offence to apply any window film that does not confirm to these laws.

Frequently Asked Questions

Slightly yes. While completely dark from the outside it is only slightly darker inside and wont adversely effect your vision while driving.

3 – 5 days. We recommend not using your rear heaters or side windows for a couple days. The film can take up to 2 weeks to fully dry

2 – 4 hours. Depending on the shape, size and number of windows being tinted

Glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Do not use anything abrasive you may scratch or damage the tint
