What Is Chameleon Tint?
Initially designed for high end and luxury vehicles chameleon is a new and trending road legal modification to make your car stand out whilst also providing the same benefits as regular tint, UV and heat rejection and reduced glare.
Shades & Availability
Each batch of chameleon in unique and shades are not made again once sold out, so colours may vary. We try to stock at least 1 shade of blue, red and green chameleon at any given time. Chameleon is harder and more expensive to manufacture then regular tint and because it’s in such high demand, stock is limited.
Benefits of Chameleon
Like regular tint chameleon offers a measure of UV protection and reduces glare from the sun. Stronger shades also adds a measure of privacy stopping people seeing through your front screen into your vehicle, without affecting your visibility from inside
Chameleon Tint Laws
- Front windscreen must allow at least 75% vlt (visual light transmission)
- Drivers and passenger front windows must allow 70% vlt
Chameleon has an average of 82% vlt making it legal for most windscreens. We have equipment to test your windscreens light transmission before and after Installation
Please be aware some vehicles come with darked glass as standard, applying chameleon may bring the vlt below the legal limit.

Does chameleon tint effect visibility inside?
No. Chameleon is an almost clear film, it will not inhibit visibility at all during day or nighttime
How long does chameleon tint take to install?
1.5 – 2 hours. Depending on the shape, size and complexity of the windscreen
How long does chameleon tint take to dry?
3-5 days. We recommend not using your windscreen heaters for a couple days if possible, the film can take up to 2 weeks to fully dry
How do i clean the inside of my windscreen?
Glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Do not use anything abrasive you may damage the tint
