Headlight & Taillight Tint Laws
Illegally tinted lights are an MOT failure, all lamps must emit light of substantially the same colour and intensity, and be visible from a reasonable distance.
- Headlights must emit a white or yellow light
- Taillights must emit a red light and least 50% of the lamp must be visible
- Fog Lights can be any colour, they are not currently part of the MOT test

How long do light tints take to install?
Approximately 1 hour per pair. Depending on shape and size headights are usually take less time then taillights
Is tinting better then spray paint?
Yes. While spraying lights might be cheaper tint allows for an even coverage and will leave a smoother, cleaner finish. Tint is also easier to remove
How do i clean my tinted lights?
Same as normal. Do not to use anything abrasive, when using a pressure washer keep a safe distance from the lamps in order not to damage the tint
